If you have never been involved in a ‘competitive’ sport, running is a great place to start! For most of us, the onlyperson we are competing against is ourselves. It doesn’t matter how fast or how far everyone else goes, it matters that we make it one step further than we did yesterday.

The Fitness Connection Running/Triathlon team is open to all ages and abilities. Our running club often participates in run/walks, half and full marathons as well as group hikes, runs and walks in the area! If you are a beginner or are looking for training partners we have all levels!!
Our triathlon team started in 2018 with six girls who didn’t have bikes and couldn’t swim! We went out and bought the cheapest bikes we could get at Bert’s! After that we started swimming at the Holland Pool. We side stroked, doggy paddled and basically flailed our way to the distance we needed! Since then, three of us have continued on to complete a 70.3 Ironman race in Memphis. Anyone can complete a triathlon with some determination and good training partners!! There are many different distances for people who are just beginning. We would love to have you join our team!
